Our goal at S&S is to give every Harley-Davidson owner the special ride they want. To do this, we offer a series of high-performance kits we call "Hot Set Ups" that you can match to your own performance requirements, mechanical ability and, just as importantly, your budget.

S&S Hot Set Ups consist of combinations of engine parts that provide you with the right balance between performance, dependability and value. With your needs in mind, a variety of kits have been carefully thought out and assembled based on cost, installation requirements, compatibility with other engine components and proven performance results.

74XLSS HOT SET UP
  for Evolution Sportsters

74 Inch Super Stock Sportster Kit

This Hot Set Up puts the "sport" back in Sportster and upgrades any 883, 1100 or 1200 Sportster to S&S Super Stock specification by providing everything necessary for a potent 74 inch street bike.

The kit features S&S Super Stock heads and a cam profile that takes advantage of the Sportster's light weight. All components are carefully engineered and matched for dependable high performance. Both regular and high compression versions are available.

74XLSS Hot Set Up
  A great makeover for 883s!

74XLSS Hot Set Up yields 74 cubic inches and includes a Super Stock cylinder head kit w/valves and springs installed, 3-1/2" bore pistons complete, manifold w/o-rings and flanges, assorted hardware, top end gaskets, cams, adjustable chrome moly pushrods, an HL2T kit, a Super E or G carb kit and installation instructions. Specify year, compression ratio desired, oversize of pistons required and carburetor preferred.

79 Inch Super Stock/ Sidewinder
Sportster Kit

The 79XLSS features our Super Stock heads and 3-5/8" big bore Sidewinder cylinders to go with stock 3-13/16" stroke flywheels. With cams that complement

the bore, stroke and cylinder head combination, the 79XLSS is a good choice for riders who don't want a taller than stock performance motor.

This Hot Set Up can be built using any set of 1986 and up Sportster cases. A set of S&S heavy-duty rods is recommended in 1986-'90 engines. Balancing is required for all applications. Both regular and high compression versions are available.

89 Inch Sidewinder/Stroker Kit

89 Inch Evo Sportster. Bigger than Big Twin performance for Harley-Davidson Sportsters. The Hot 89 for V2 Sportsters turn the "little H-D" into an 89 inch giant killer --- in a small light weight package. Except for the awesome sound and the S&S air cleaner this motor looks like a stocker. The Hot 89 is the largest displacement Sportster engine available that will fit into a stock chassis without extensive frame modifications.

Put the "SPORT" in Sportster. The Hot 89 Sport makes the 883 and even 1200 cc machines come alive -- dominating performance, yet dependable enough to ride anywhere. Big bike performance and displacement for your around town motorcycle.

89XL Hot Set Up
Fits 883, 110 and 1200 models

89XL Hot Set Up yields 89 cubic inches with a compression ratio that is determined by the extent of head work done. Hot Set Up includes an 89" Sidewinder kit with 4-5/16" stroker flywheels, 3-5/8" bore pistons complete, cylinders, mainshafts and rods assembled, a valve spring kit, an HL2T kit, head bolts, pushrod cover keepers, front and center engine mounts, a Super E or G carb kit and installation instructions.

89 Inch Super Stock/Sidewinder/Stroker Kit

Select this Hot Set Up with our Super Stock heads. S&S has designed and manufactured the largest practical motor that will fit into the stock Sportster chassis with only minor modifications. These kits are for the serious street performance and competition rider. Our Hot Set Up 89 has gained a hard-earned reputation as the "Giant Killer".

Flywheels are balanced and assembled for easy installation. Hot Set Up includes top-end gaskets and necessary hardware. Sportsters 1991 - up require conversion to the 1986-'90 style pushrod cover assemblies. The 89XLSS is available in both 9.5:1 and 12.4:1 compression ratios.
